大部分自傳都很難做到低調；不在這點上糾結的話，這本書還是很有積極意義的。以一個小眾運動項目的運動員的視角，比較真實詳細地錶現（業餘）從事這一運動的人的心理和生活常態。不拘泥於技術，但大量的專業細節對從事或有興趣從事長跑和極限運動的人群來說，參考價值和娛樂價值都很高。
