families we choose主要的几个方面:1.脱离原来的家庭建立自己的“家庭” 2.“家人”的范围可能是好朋友,也可能是ex 3.其他需要做选择的一些事,比如怎么要孩子。 可以看出,这并非基于明确变量的分类,在families we choose/biology family的分类中2是其核心,但是这个论点却不见得是成立的。

性别研究领域难得不晦涩的著作 也是queer kinship的经典作品之一 基于人类学研究的分析由于有了案例和访谈记录的支撑显得真实详尽甚至打动人心 遗憾的是全书的视角还是有一定的局限性 尤其是在酷儿家庭和血缘家庭的定义方面没有跳出对立思维
