我挺喜歡McDonald筆下的印度，應該算得上準確，人群車流噪音汙染還有肉體，滿街的肉體，而神明和肉體一樣多。開頭寫得好，讓人想起Scheper Hugues，器官走私，科幻小說和第三世界永恒的真實。AI是alien intelligence而不是artificial intelligence, 而意外發現的白矮星上的人臉是七十億年就已經發生過的人類的未來，非常holographic principle. 整體閱讀體驗還行，就是印度詞匯很多，有幾段情愛太矯情冗長，Lull可真是professor典型，渡人不渡己，頹唐地被自己的高道德標準摺磨，在理想與真實的落差裏鬱鬱寡歡。而我最喜歡的角色是Khan啊，雖然他拋妻和性癖的設定非常stereotypical，可他sufism的禁欲沉著超帶感啊！
