[堪稱年度書籍]Years of schooling ended with academic success, then its consequent price. Richard had grown culturally separated from his family, barely to find individual identity, and hardly to ignore the fact--education nurtured him an unnatural person, a person has no trace of his ancestry in spirit but flooded with nostalgia.
評分an excellent writer, the one who are willing to, and brave enough to face the truth.

Generalizing then big picture by using a case study, Rodriguez had a limited horizon. I love his resistance on bilingual education & it got me thinking about myself. But I don’t like the way he gave up his first language, served English as a tool to gain public identity in the States.
