Eleanor的孤独与痛苦如此relatable，以至于读的时候常常回想起小时候被妈妈打骂的场景，有时气得发抖，有时又泪如雨下。很欣慰地看到她慢慢走出阴影，也有了关心自己的朋友，没有人的童年是完美的吧！成年的我们能做的，就是一点点正视、接纳自己

作者描绘了一个奇特的人：脸上有疤痕没有情感不懂世故与周围人格格不入…偶有非常有趣的效果，但大多部分读来都比较累赘。但一直存在着悬念，就是主角为什么成了这个样子，反复提及的大火以及和她对话的Mummy……温暖重拾遗失的美好
