作者简介
1923年、アメリカ、ビッツバーク生まれ。1940年代、絵画のようなカラー写真の先駆者として、
また「ヴォーグ」「ハーパーズ・バザー」などの有名ファッション誌の表紙を飾ったソール・ライター。
商業性が強く求められる80年代になると表舞台から姿を消してしまいました。
2006年、ドイツのシュタイデル社から初の写真集が刊行されるや“巨匠の再発見"と熱狂的に受け入れられ、世界中で展覧会が開催。
2013年ニューヨークで死去。
