John Connolly was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1968 and has, at various points in his life, worked as a journalist, a barman, a local government official, a waiter and a dogsbody at Harrods department store in London. He studied English in Trinity College, Dublin and journalism at Dublin City University, subsequently spending five years working as a freelance journalist for The Irish Times newspaper, to which he continues to contribute.

He is based in Dublin but divides his time between his native city and the United States.

黑色童话并不是“黑色”的。从来没有“被迫”,我们做的那些事都是因为我们想做。自己内心有恶,即使只是微不足道的小恶,都会被放纵。我们现在没有,将来也不会有那种能力,控制其泛滥的能力。所以,要温和守住的,只是一份“一切失去的都又回来”的结局。

喜歡潘神迷宮的人,大概喜歡這個故事。可惜我不是。除瞭開篇尚可,我真不認為絕對的恨意裏能生齣偉大的愛,這種書,還是不要浪費小孩子時間去讀瞭。

人生的過程中總會失去很多,可有些東西,是不能背叛的。^-^ 其實成年人比兒童更需要童話,需要“一切都會好起來的”這樣的故事來鼓勵自己走過睏境。
