具体描述
为了摧毁人类，外星人共发起了五轮攻击。第一波切断地球的能源供给，世界陷入黑暗。第二波是发动海啸，城市顷刻间被巨浪吞没。第三波是制造瘟疫，使得人口锐减。而第四波则是外星人登陆地球，“它们”有着和人类一样的外貌，隐藏在人群中，消灭幸存者。
勇敢无畏的女孩凯西在经历了外星人的四波入侵之后，顽强地生存下来，并且结识了一位来历不明的神秘男孩。他们一边营救被外星人绑架而失踪的弟弟，一边摧毁外星人的阴谋，保卫地球。
作者简介
瑞克·杨西是美国著名的青少年科幻奇幻小说家。一共著有15本小说及一本回忆录。他的书被翻译成超过30种语言出版，在世界范围内赢得了各种奖项。
他写的青少年小说《阿尔弗莱德·克洛普的奇幻冒险》被誉为“年度最佳图书”，并获得卡耐基图书奖提名，《畸形人》获得了普利兹文学奖银奖。

幼稚脑残中二小格局的青少年科幻，打着媲美“独立日”的宣传就有点好笑了。两星半。#20180614读书记
评分买来打发乘机时间的，刚看开头哎呦四波入侵方式设想很新奇嘛有思路，再往后疑问越来越多，伊万怎么就突然出现，怎么就黏上女主了？整部小说框架虽大深度不够，篇幅很长内容不多，大多数是角色心理描写，回来一查果然是青少年读物。那么流弊的异星人从古埃及时代就监视地球，前四波入侵效率多高，到第五波反而用地球武器，还得抓小孩子洗脑培训带管饭，象《遗落战境》那样，生产克隆人，灌输记忆多省事。
评分在当下各种天花乱坠的YA小说当中，这本的设定和剧情都算得上简单的，而且也没有那么多玄乎的设定，但多主角多视角的叙述方式还是挺吸引人的，翻译质量很高，装帧精美。
