he sure goes for the good old twist in every book and the trite contrived climax still can't help reading more of this series now that i've been sucked into harry bosch's world even before this book written a few months prior to the Rodney King incident great insight as to the incompetence of the police department and public's distrust towards them

评分居然是Connelly的第一部小說，確實不一般，很流暢而且並不覺得穿鑿。並不是那種非黑即白的設定。看來他之前作為專門報道犯罪新聞的經曆一點兒都沒浪費。
评分除瞭一些縮略語基本上來說還是非常易讀的，故事性也不錯，能夠吸引著讀者一直讀下去。唯一有點突兀的是發展太快的男女關係：）不過作為處女作來說完成度非常之高！
