著者簡介

Mac Barnett born to non-farmers in a California farming community, Mac now lives near San Francisco. He's on the board of directors of 826LA, a nonprofit writing center for students in Los Angeles, and he founded the Echo Park Time Travel Mart, a convenience store for time travelers.

Jon Klassen received the 2010 Canadian Governor General’s Award for his illustrations in Caroline Stutson’s CAT'S NIGHT OUT. He also created illustrations for the popular series THE INCORRIGIBLE CHILDREN OF ASHTON PLACE and served as an illustrator on the animated feature film Coraline. I WANT MY HAT BACK is the first book he has both written and illustrated. Originally from Niagara Falls, Canada, he lives in Los Angeles.

兩個小男孩一起挖寶，卻總在接近寶藏的一刻決定改變挖掘方嚮，與寶藏失之交臂。簡單卻充滿寓意。結尾很輕鬆，兩人從地球另一頭掉下來，沒有喪氣，隻是進屋尋找巧剋力和餅乾去瞭。與《狼、鴨子、老鼠》是同一個作者，很喜歡他的風格，故事簡單有寓意，卻也輕鬆幽默（雖然有時候是黑色幽默），大人看也不會覺得幼稚。

雖然是老生常談的道理但是很喜歡適閤送給朋友算是可以時常翻閱的燈塔

Sam and David missed all those spectacular things while digging. Jon Klassen's ending is pretty scary when you compare the pictures at the beginning and in the end. Persistence is what we are lack of.

讀的是VOX版的，有錄音，適閤啓濛英語，故事簡單但又天馬行空。一開始挖的時候，按照中文兒童書的習慣絕對要開始講道理瞭，結果完全沒有說教，最後的結果也需要孩子仔細觀察纔能發現疑問，很有意思的書
