Marge Piercy is the author of seventeen novels including the classic Woman on the Edge of Time; nineteen volumes of poetry; four non-fiction books as well as her critically acclaimed memoir. Born in Detroit, educated at the University of Michigan, and the recipient of four honorary doctorates, she has been a key player in many of the major progressive political battles of our time, including the anti-Vietnam war and the women's movement, and more recently an active participant in the resistance to the war in Iraq. 评分有100百種方式批判Piercy描繪的2137年烏托邦，但是我不想這樣批判。基於機械和生化技術上對未來的暢想，大多不能免俗地把未來描繪到科技的極端，Piercy的暢想是真正勇敢大膽的，挑戰瞭啓濛運動後奠定的笛卡爾範式二元論的世界觀，重新建立一個基於生態女性平等的possible future，重新構建瞭未來的空間關係，神書一本，無關現實。

评分兩天看完的，眼睛都快瞎瞭的。不過，隨便去問問哪個女的吧，你別當媽媽瞭，這樣就平等瞭。捐齣你的卵細胞，你不知道誰是你孩子，然後問問他們的感受吧……所以我覺得女權從這開始真的沒有意義瞭……
评分“Hate them more than you hate yourself, and you’ll stay free.” 這本書真是腦洞很大瞭，究竟是科幻還是精神不正常，作者最後留瞭個洞讓讀者自己去填。讀的是16年的版本，作者加瞭個新的前言，她對現在的社會很悲觀瞭，我也…在Luciente的“烏托邦”世界裏，他們這樣對待女人究竟是平等與否，我覺得我所擁有的知識無法迴答這個問題。但是他們拋棄瞭所有的pronounces，這一點我很喜歡很喜歡。女權小說佳作。
