几乎可以说，妇女乐园是现今超市的一个雏形，里面所描写的商业理念、技巧等，仍可应用于今日。 有两部书是我非常喜欢以致于使我对超市行业非常向往的（可惜未能有机会从事这个行业），一部就是这个，另一部是《一个非凡的女人埃玛》（此书在这里找不到）。

就是从这本书开始认识左拉，喜欢左拉的，书中的人物都很真实动人，对于资本主义商业从自由竞争发展到垄断的过程的描写，非常的易于接受，远不想没读之前想象的那样艰涩、乏味，是你想读第二遍的书。

左拉是我中学时期喜爱的作家之一。年轻的我喜欢那种flowery的语言和描写，对感官有很强烈的刺激。但如今看了《妇女乐园》后，我发觉，我已经不爱这种作家。也许是成长中，会不再喜欢以往喜欢的事物，或者有新的事物让我更为向往。看完全书后我一点都不能被打动，只觉得人物很假...

这本书其实是经营妇女消费品从简单实用到豪华糜菲发展的一个缩影，从小店面普通商人的生活一直描写到大百货公司老板的发家史。客观上真实描写了人类爱、恨、贪婪的欲望。窃以为BOSS每天关门结业时在办公室里数钱的形象最为活生生。
