著者簡介
譚恩美（Amy Tan），美國華裔作傢。1952年齣生於美國加州奧剋蘭，曾就讀醫學院，後取得語言學碩士學位。她因處女作《喜福會》而一舉成名，成為當代美國的暢銷作傢。著有長篇小說《竈神之妻》、《靈感女孩》和為兒童創作的《月亮夫人》、《中國暹羅貓》等，作品被譯成20多種文字在世界上廣為流傳。如今譚恩美已然成為美國文壇少數民族作傢的一位代錶人物，而在當今美國社會倡導多元文化的大背景下，她的地位早已漸漸超越瞭一位少數民族或者流行小說傢的身份，而成為整個美國乃至西方最為著名的作傢之一。
