曼羅·裏夫（Munro Leaf；1905～1976），生前寫過、畫過近四十本書，其中最具盛名的，即是與羅伯特·勞森閤作的《愛花的牛》。

I just read the comments to know some other interpretations and get some inspiration.The story abou a bull like sit and smell flowers but be sent to the bullring.And the bull still like sit and smell flowers so save his life.

這真是一個很深刻的故事，關於庸眾。一頭不喜歡打鬧的公牛陰差陽錯被選入鬥牛場，可是它真的不喜歡打鬧，不會被激怒，於是免於一死，被送迴瞭農場。而那些好鬥的牛，完全不知道打鬥的意義，如果獲得被選中的榮耀，結局卻是被鬥牛士刺死……

撇開政治解讀不提，這是個尊重孩子尊重選擇的故事。
