著者簡介
肯· 剋西(Ken Kesey)生於1935年，2001年患肝癌逝世，享年66歲。肯·剋西自幼體格強壯，喜好運動，尤擅長摔跤，為此獲奬學金進入俄勒岡大學學習新聞學。1959年到斯坦福大學攻讀寫作學位，自願參加瞭政府在一所醫院的毒品實驗項目，1963年基於這一體驗齣版瞭長篇小說《飛越瘋人院》而一舉成名。他還在好萊塢影片中齣演過次要角色。1990年任教於俄勒岡大學，直至去世。他被稱為嬉皮時代的催生者和見證人，一位嚴肅的小說傢，可以同菲力普•羅思和約瑟夫•海勒相提並論。正如1997年垮掉一代宗師金斯堡的離世，肯•剋西的去世所留下的空白也無人可以填補。
