著者简介

萨马拉，为活跃于美国纽约的平面设计师。他借助STIM视觉传播公司（STIM Visual Communication），忙碌于授课、写作、咨询和开讲座等事务。15年的品牌设计与信息设计，使他经受到印刷设计、包装设计、环境设计、用户界面设计、动画设计等多种项目的熏陶。萨马拉先生目前是纽约大学视觉艺术学院、纽约州立大学伯斯学院和帕森设计学院的教师。他撰写了《平面设计网格的制作与突破》、《印刷工作手册》、《出版物设计完全手册》和《字体风格搜索手册》等著作。

讲述平面设计原则的书。整体看上去装帧也算不错。价钱不算便宜￥89.00（不过想想这么厚一本铜版纸的，忍了）。打开看就不是那么回事了。印之前看没看打样吧？字儿是不是细了点？妨碍阅读啊。首印这4000册卖完了赶紧改版吧。

如果书架上只能有一本设计类教材，我会选这本。适合所有设计程度的人，但是里面不是讲软件的，没有技术类教程，而是讲“设计这件事”。很多被认为是规律和经典的内容，如果有精力，可以看另外一本蓝色的，用案例来分析不同项目中的设计运用。
