Lots of stunning facts about raising children, and it is comforting to know that millions of parents out there are going through the same thing, with the same angst, uncertainty, yet determination and most of all, love, to raise the kids. Maybe it is going to be like what they say, "the kids are going to be alright..."

刚开始还安慰自己，我没孩子，但是了解下总不是坏事嘛。而且也在observe身边的房东姐姐带小孩，对照起来应该很有意思。直到我在车里听到”we middle class Americans”简直乐坏，我既不是middle class也不是Americans，操着什么太平洋的心呀???? 说起来有很多德州和中国移民的例子哎～(现在的我认为)我会强迫我小孩学习滑冰和散打的……其他的应该就放羊了。

可能当妈的感受和楼上的准妈还是有区别的吧。这本书不是方法论，育儿市场也不缺少方法论，它是一碗安慰的鸡汤，让你知道全天下即使是美帝国主义的父母也都一样，让你知道你不是在孤军奋战，微博妈妈评价“简直想抱着作者大腿哭”，它能在美国图书馆排着长队，能长居榜首不是虚...
