The book is based on interviews with eighteen teachers of The Chinese University of Hong Kong who have been awarded the Vice-Chancellor's Exemplary Teaching Award of the University. They shared their valuable experiences on all aspects of teaching from planning, teaching methods, to course material preparation, and how to motivate students. These experiences are indeed the elucidation of the principles of excellent teaching. Theories on excellent teaching and implications of the principles are also dealt with here.</P>
