著者簡介
施米特1888年齣生在德國西部的一個小鎮，天主教徒，從小喜好文學、藝術、音樂、哲學、神學。在大學獲得法學博士學位後，一邊研究新康德主義法理學，一邊寫論瓦格納的華彩文章。1916年，施米特發錶瞭一部從政治哲學角度論詩人多伯勒的長詩《北極光》的專著，從此開始瞭其長達半個世紀的政治思想生涯。
