作者简介
威尔·杜兰特(Will Durant),（1885——1981）美国著名学者，普利策奖（1968）和自由勋章（1977）获得者。他用50年时间完成了受到广泛好评的《世界文明史》（11卷本，后几卷是他和妻子阿拉尔合作的结晶）。92岁时，创作了《历史上的英雄》，这是他辉煌一生的最后作品。他的《哲学故事》旨在让更多的人了解哲学。他终生热情的致力于将哲学从学术象牙塔中解放出来，让它进入普通人的生活。
