具體描述
這本集子中的演講稿是從顧維鈞捐贈給紐約哥倫比亞大學珍本和手稿圖書館的《顧維鈞文件》中選齣來的。保存在這一文件中的演講稿有數百篇之多，而顧維鈞在其外交官生涯中究竟作過多少演講，已難以統計瞭。本書編選瞭重大曆史事件和場閤的演講，同時盡可能兼顧演講主題和形式的多樣性。比如，除正式的演講外，也選瞭記者招待會的問答。為瞭讓讀者更貼近顧維鈞演講的真實風貌，這本集子將英文演講原稿與中文譯稿一同刊印。
