怎么会有这样的父母？welch之前也一直很苦，但还是觉得可能会越来越好的那种苦，可是忽然急转直下到底。人可能就是在这种成长过程变strong的吧。坚持了自己的选择就是strong。比如在senior hs坚持去ny，在Qz的钱被dad偷走后重头开始攒。及其eccentric父母也有值得肯定的一点点：比如adventure的乐观精神，指定star作为christmas礼物，教授各种知识，妈妈在各种时候都守着那块地，买没用的质量好的东西提高self esteem。这些也都很重要。lucky me先读了half broke horse，但是想不通partenting，lily在生存方面很厉害但女儿怎么会这样？基因？母亲过于强势？拥有价值百万的土地却过这样的日子也是醉了。homless也许是个选择吧

一本读着让人感觉是小说的自传。社会底层家庭小孩儿的逃离和成长。

这样奇葩不负责任的父母最后还大概率养出了优秀的孩子，其实里面很多教育经是很值得借鉴的。
