著者简介

Richard Dawkins taught zoology at the University of California at Berkeley and at Oxford University and is now the Charles Simonyi Professor of the Public Understanding of Science at Oxford, a position he has held since 1995. Among his previous books are The Ancestor's Tale, The Selfish Gene, The Blind Watchmaker, Climbing Mount Improbable, Unweaving the Rainbow, and A Devil's Chaplain. Dawkins lives in Oxford with his wife, the actress and artist Lalla Ward.

看的很爽，Dawkins的论点很全面，整个书逻辑很严谨，基本上是面面俱到，虽然说能学到的东西倒是不多，更多的是重温了双方的观点。本来认为他有点过于偏激了，但现在读了他的书后，觉得也不是没有道理。不过态度居高临下，有点刻薄倒是真的，这点我也要注意。但即使如此，看《南方公园》拿他开涮也还是很逗。

这本我买的是纸本.太重了不好带,只有周末看,结果看了半年才看完.我还真是大笨蛋...而且我还买了the greatest show on earth的硬皮本...以后就只买电子书!

对Dawkins始终感情复杂：一方面确实从阅读他著作中受益良多，另一方面其对物质精神二元论的理解近乎弱智，且Meme作为一套完整的科学范式理论的构建太过牵强。道爷对于宗教的态度简直就是英国版方舟子土摩托，字里行间都是理性主义者的自负与傲慢。
