且注意第九页的雅贼宣言：my name is Bernie Rhodenbarr and I’m a thief and I love to steal. I just plain love it.　新星给的书稿缺第一章，于是先从原版看起，之后再对照检阅翻译质量吧.布洛克原版的味道翻译能出四成我就很满意了，何况我也发现目前的三本雅贼是三位不同的翻译，还好原版的文风总归是一致的（不过我收的那十本也没怎么读就是=。=）.四星原因对照新星的注释，此处还有一点：新星版本电稿的校对不怎么样，原版自然无此问题.读原版时纽约气息扑面而来，译文反而就丧失了个性.或许对此种过于强调细节而忽视大情节（当然，这本已经比第一本布局更优了：不过，总归是辛苦的贼顶替了警察的工作，做着侦探的事.另一个模式化就是：贼侦探总是难免被冤枉，然后流氓警察总得登场）的小情调消遣类小说而言，本身是不可调和的

其实和村上春树的小说还有蛮多相似之处。

第一次读雅贼系列，应该算是推理小说了吧，对话也还有趣，第一人称叙述显得Bernie有点絮叨。

很有趣的窃贼（the Burglar）系列，可惜暂时没找到#1。Bernie最大的魅力就在于将解谜探案、入室盗窃和彬彬有礼的日常生活融合得恰到好处。情节稍微有些琐屑，但是整个故事读得很开心。这种义贼（gentleman thief）的角色设定在推理小说中已经不少见了。
