這本書是這套叢書裏含金量非常高的一本，直接改變瞭我認為理論性通識讀本中Oxford遜色於Routledge的看法。這本書的作者有成為獨立理論傢的潛質，他的核心立場是：後現代主義是最好的解構者，也是最差的建構者。由於它自身含有諸多無法解決的矛盾，所以它的時代已經過去，它必將遭到下一代的質疑和針對於它的理論更新。

每次看vsi都是一把辛酸淚！英文版更拖！尼瑪“通識”就不能寫的再“通”一點麼！不過這本還的確比天文學簡史vsi要易讀一些。
