Alan Moore is an English writer most famous for his influential work in comics, including the acclaimed graphic novels Watchmen, V for Vendetta and From Hell. He has also written a novel, Voice of the Fire, and performs "workings" (one-off performance art/spoken word pieces) with The Moon and Serpent Grand Egyptian Theatre of Marvels, some of which have been released on CD.

《來自地獄》關注的是變態殺手的老前輩——“開膛手傑剋”。摩爾紮實的調查材料及坎貝爾樸實無華的黑白漫畫將讀者義無反顧地拉入瞭維多利亞時代“調皮”傑剋的世界，同時提齣瞭很多令人不安的理論。

我喜歡Eddie Campbell速寫式的畫風。

傑作！讀完所有appendix更能體會倒Moore的功課做得有多足。對每一個細節的杜撰即使不能全部做到有憑有據但也全部閤情閤理。（連Gull的第一次未來穿越、某章開頭穿插的德國男女床戲等等看似純屬異想天開的場景都能和曆史找到聯係）Moore在最後隻給讀者留瞭一個難題，14章23頁的場景究竟是什麼，我想這一點難不倒聰明的讀者。
