Disappointed. Touted as one of the best of Christie's but turned out to be draggy and unexciting. The last bit was just too abrupt and unnatural...feels like lazy writing to me.

Just too late to hear the inner voice... so look after your feelings carefully, darling.

鋪墊有些過長，讓前半部分令人乏味。 後半部則十分精彩，結局的反轉也有過程中的伏筆。 -"What are you thinking of when you look at me like that?" -"Like what?" -"As though you loved me." Ellie knew her fate but she didn't mind, she never minded, which made the whole story heartbreaking.
