Disappointed. Touted as one of the best of Christie's but turned out to be draggy and unexciting. The last bit was just too abrupt and unnatural...feels like lazy writing to me.

铺垫有些过长，让前半部分令人乏味。 后半部则十分精彩，结局的反转也有过程中的伏笔。 -"What are you thinking of when you look at me like that?" -"Like what?" -"As though you loved me." Ellie knew her fate but she didn't mind, she never minded, which made the whole story heartbreaking.

Just too late to hear the inner voice... so look after your feelings carefully, darling.
