Stephen William Hawking, CH, CBE, FRS, FRSA (born 8 January 1942) is a British theoretical physicist. Hawking is the Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at the University of Cambridge (but intends to retire from this post in 2009), a Fellow of Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge and the distinguished research chair at Waterloo's Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics. He is known for his contributions to the fields of cosmology and quantum gravity, especially in the context of black holes.

评分这本书读起来好熟悉啊——小学时泡新华书店看过的天文册子，中学和大学重学过的经典力学、电磁场、相对论、量子力学……能在不Google的情况下一周末慢慢读完觉得已经对得起老师了？（讲真，这种科普读物净说大白话，对我来说还不如直接砸公式来得爽快呢，一段话也就一行公式的事。）随着实验物理的取得新进展，比如成功探测到引力波、拍到黑洞，这本书其实可以update一下，可惜斯人已逝，只能由后学来传承薪火。
评分我已经啃了N遍了，句式不难，是内容本身难以理解= =
