Stephen William Hawking, CH, CBE, FRS, FRSA (born 8 January 1942) is a British theoretical physicist. Hawking is the Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at the University of Cambridge (but intends to retire from this post in 2009), a Fellow of Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge and the distinguished research chair at Waterloo's Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics. He is known for his contributions to the fields of cosmology and quantum gravity, especially in the context of black holes.

读完了，可以继续另一本科普读物了。Orz...很好的一本书。虽然是科普书可是很多地方还是没有看懂。所有涉及Macro的概念还是比较容易理解的，比如黑洞虫洞宇宙扩张等等，涉及到micro部分的粒子们就开始头疼，粒子与反粒子，夸克质子光子等等。不知道再看一遍会有更深的理解还是读一些更深层次的书会更有帮助。不过，时间简史确实揭开了自己对宇宙，物理，微观的初步了解的大门，人类一直在努力的寻找着自己，从哪里来，到哪里去，虽然所有东西都还没有答案，在寻找的路上我们却也不断扩充和增强着自己。P.S. 为什么英文版比中文版评分差这么多。。
