David Mamet is a Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright and an Academy Award-nominated screenwriter, as well as a director, novelist, poet, and essayist. He has written the screenplays for more than twenty films, includingHeist, Spartan, House of Games, The Spanish Prisoner, The Winslow Boy, Wag the Dog, and the Oscar-nominatedThe Verdict. In David Mamet's latest play, a male college instructor and his female student sit down to discuss her grades and in a terrifyingly short time become the participants in a modern reprise of the Inquisition. 评分臨時抱佛腳,讀戲開始前才終於看完。弔詭。也許這個劇本的確可以解釋出無數層意思來。但我看到的就是靠政治正確上綱上綫的「弱勢群體」翻身上位的教學案例。Carol感覺和「Speed the Plow」裡的Karen有異曲同工之處啊。男主都是愚蠢的可憐蟲。作者這個拿語言當槍砲使的風格真是⋯⋯看下來太累了(。
