First published in 1952, "The Journey to the West," volume I, comprises the first twenty-five chapters of Anthony C. Yu's four-volume translation of "Hsi-yu Chi," one of the most beloved classics of Chinese literature. The fantastic tale recounts the sixteen-year pilgrimage of the monk Hsuan-tsang (596-664), one of China's most illustrious religious heroes, who journeyed to India with four animal disciples in quest of Buddhist scriptures. For nearly a thousand years, his exploits were celebrated and embellished in various accounts, culminating in the hundred-chapter" Journey to the West," which combines religious allegory with romance, fantasy, humor, and satire.

说说我自己的一点感受 这本书放在手机里一直读了三个月才读完的. 西游记中很多事情都值得思考, 1.孙悟空大闹天宫的时候很是厉害谁也打不过,怎么打都打不死.但是一跟了唐僧就萎了.很多人说猴子从野生变成家养的之后能力就下降了,其实我不这么认为.就拿太上老君来说其实他那里有...

还是旧作一篇，写在2012年春天之前。 ———————————— 四大名著中《西游记》我读得最不熟，因为总觉得《西游记》是四大名著中无论内容还是文笔都不甚好的一部，加上情节热闹滑稽而又重复雷同，影视和动画片又那么多，其中也不乏经典，那些怪力乱神的内容，毕竟用影视...
