以日常生活中吟唱的诗歌为切入点，折射到Bedouins社会的两种话语，两套意识形态，并且最后回到关于社会组织结构的讨论。切入点小，但反映的问题全面有趣。思路也十分清晰。关于女性吟唱的诗歌联想到高彦颐的闺塾师

序言有趣……看了modesty,gender and sexuality的部分，感觉是有功能倾向的解释方式。正如开头就提到的通常男性同价值联系而女性同道德联系，而女性和价值、道德体系的关联又从女性的body/nature本身出发，其中生育被认为是积极的，sexuality和月经被认为是消极的，于是从仪式、宗教、日常生活、言语和神话诗歌象征等各个层面形成了一套体系并使女性embody、symbolize、represent。对sexuality的否认和蔑视也主要和女性相关，意在维系社会秩序、关系和体系。面纱本身就是个很有趣的栗子。
