著者簡介

大衛·蓋梅爾是英國傢喻戶曉的英雄奇幻小說傢，已於2006年過世。他逝世後，奇幻界成立瞭大衛·蓋梅爾傳奇奬，該奬目前已成為奇幻界重要的奬項。

大衛·蓋梅爾於1948年夏天齣生於英國倫敦，16歲退學後成為保鏢。蓋梅爾靠他的能言善道解決麻煩，後來藉助這種天賦，當上瞭倫敦《每日郵報》、《每日鏡報》和《每日快報》的自由作傢，並走上奇幻創作之路。

人物、對白、敘事技巧都有一套，體現瞭作者的成熟過人。結尾見仁見智。熱血的東西，心中領會就好瞭，沒必要反復激蕩。
