埃德加•爱伦•坡一八〇九年一月出生在波士顿，自幼父母双亡，同养父母生活。少年时期就表现出对诗歌的热爱。传记中最早一次关于坡的写诗记录，是在坡中学时代；坡的老友埃利斯晚年回忆说：爱伦夫妇对埃德加过于溺爱，给他送进最好的学校。并且要他练习最文雅的社交习惯。...

这个版本翻译较差，诵读起来味如嚼蜡。 只是说这个版本收录了所有诗作，真正叫个“全集”而已。  

《恶之花》初次发表时收诗100首，涉及到女人意象的有48首, 若再包括其它诗歌中零星提到的女人意象, 《恶之花》中与女人有关的诗歌占到诗歌总数的一半以上, 可见女性在波德莱尔是各种有很重要的地位。 　　其中一个特殊的女性群体便是女同性恋者，在女性意象诗歌中占3首，...
