这部书有点史诗般的感觉。追寻美国梦的异乡人，尝试建立乌托邦式的生活，歌剧流行界的巨大成功，在美国什么都可以发生。 只是边看故事边会崇拜苏珊.桑塔格。要研读多少书籍才能知道当时的情景，细节上的描写非常真实，丝毫不像是凭空捏造出来的。真的很佩服！
