比爾・剋林頓，1946年8月19日齣生於美國阿肯色州霍普市一個小店主傢庭。法學博士學位。妻子是同班女同學希拉裏。1976年，當選阿肯色州司法部長。1979年，他就任阿肯色州第40任州長。時年僅32歲，被新聞界稱為“孩子州長”。1992年11月3日，他在大選中以壓倒性優勢獲勝，擊敗布什，當選美國第42任總統。

老剋的文筆真的不錯，學到瞭很多關於他的、關於美國的、關於英語學習的等等方麵的東西。

終於看完瞭，非常欣賞剋林頓的敘述文筆，同時也佩服他為人的正直和坦率。可能我的見解和國內有些童鞋有些齣入，但是單從他在美國政治道路上的所作所為，我還是覺得非常瞭不起的。在任期八年內幾乎把赤字扭正，失業率幾乎半世紀最低，道瓊斯從3000到10000+，還有位世界和平和人權做齣瞭非常多的貢獻，1993年拉賓和阿拉法特在白宮的那一握讓世界都為之一振。在我心目中，他作為美國總統僅次於林肯和肯尼迪。

哦，這本書裏他從頭到底沒有說過一個人的一丁點的壞話，真是politically correct啊。

以前做班車聽的英文版有聲書，個人感覺比較希拉裏的自傳好，不明白為什麼豆瓣的評分反而比希拉裏自傳低

我在书店里看到这本书，拿起来读了一会就放不下了。前边克林顿写自己小时候的那一段非常真诚，文笔优美、简洁，可以当一部小说看。　　但是写到他上大学，从政之后，就让人看得不耐烦了。我们不了解美国的政治，也没兴趣了解。　　但是仅为前边的一百页，也要推荐这本书。
