作者简介
马克•里拉(Mark Lilla)，美国芝加哥大学社会思想委员会教授，欧洲思想史学者，被誉为美国自由主义阵营的一支健笔。作为公共知识分子的他在欧美具有相当的知名度和影响力，著有《Ｇ.Ｂ.维科：一个反现代者的形成》(1993)，编有《新法兰西思想：政治哲学》(1994)，《伯林的遗产》(2001)。

评分最近所读的几本关于知识分子的书，以马克·里拉的这本《当知识分子遇见政治》最为精彩，后记《叙拉古的诱惑》尤其值得一读再读。在作者看来，20世纪的大部分时间，欧洲知识分子都迷失在政治的诱惑当中，很少有人能保持清醒、独立和温和的精神。类似的情形，在中国不同时代的知识分子身上都能找到参照。
