非常精彩，重新燃起了自13年的民主发展公开课以来对政治科学的热情。主要篇幅在用历史示例来阐述福山理论框架的三大基本元素，国家，法治和political accountability (因为视角很高，可读性强所以本部分为其畅销书属性增色不少），而后面的总论章节则是其理论框架精炼阐述，最后福山抛出了三个还在进行时的话题，其结果将作为对他理论的检验（抑或修正）：中国，Liberal democracies和美国。在18年回望他在11年提出的问题，不得不说他的理论确实把握到了一些关键的症结，世界还在发展，这三个课题的答案只能靠时间来回答了。
