Such a gratifying experience, from the shores of Nicaragua to the backwaters of Kerela, Levi-Strauss took me on a reflective, imaginative and poetic journey of his own explorations, of societies big and small, modern and old, of the human condition.

這不是自己第一次讀tristes tropiques瞭，從大學到現在，中文版英文版加到一起也有四五遍瞭，可直到因為項目原因在Siem Reap住過一個月後，纔忽然發現應該怎樣重新讀列維。也許這份重讀與新增理解的清單上不久也會加上Said的名字吧。
