具體描述
《高級英語閱讀》係“高等學校英語專業規劃教材”之一，供英語專業高年級學生使用，也可供具有大學英語四到六級水平的非英語專業學生作為閱讀材料。《高級英語閱讀》是原《高級英語閱讀教程》的第二版，共分16個單元32課，對原來的課文進行瞭修訂和增減。新版教程收集瞭現當代美、英著名作傢的散文、演講和故事，每個單元包括作者簡介、課文、注釋、要點評析和練習題。所選的篇章經典地道，新增的內容富有時代性，涉及事業、傢庭、婚姻、工作與娛樂等與學生畢業後不久密切相關的主題。文體多樣，風格各異，便於學生進行比較、分析、討論，有利於培養學生邏輯思維和判斷評述的能力。所有的課文刪除或修改瞭原文中少數冷僻的詞，減輕瞭學生的學習負擔。
