小說中一提到焚書我就心如刀絞。想像到一個沒有圖書的社會會是極其絕望的。雖然是大半個世紀前寫的，但是小說中對所謂“快餐文學”和“即時娛樂”的描寫可謂具有前瞻性。我們現在就被這些媒體所圍繞，我承認自己經常也會被其引誘。作者的文才很棒，尤其在比喻和比擬。很多象徵的使用避免了說教。所謂“前事不忘，後事之師”。沒有知識自由地流通，沒有思想自如地擴散，社會不會向前、歷史還會重演。

字体实在太小。小说节奏非常快，后来看到后记里作者说他是在大学地下室按时计费的打字机上疯一般写下了这本书的第一稿，对这种节奏也就能理解了。很多细节令人心动，也许从此爱上背书。

More paranoid version of 1984. 读前五页就感觉自己不习惯这种文笔，读到最后也欣赏不来。似乎是为了渲染情绪堆积词句，但我确不太能入戏，很多象征啊隐喻什么的描写来得很突兀，阅读体验不是很连贯。情节上缺乏世界的背景设定，就给人感觉比较中二...优点是...封面插画很酷，焚书坑儒这种设定对于爱书之人来说还是很有吸引力的...虽然有点被作者的这种写法劝退，但还是决定以后再给The Martian Chronicles一个机会... （另外很有趣的是，这段时间我正在用b站的Modern Family轮播间下饭，所以书里那个无脑沉迷Family“墙播剧”的女主正是我本人写照。好像我从影视上索取的正是那种现实里不可能的完美而单纯的安心和快乐，所以她有什么错呢？）
