从40年代开始，Lillian_Bassman成为纽约知名时尚摄影师。本书集中呈现她所拍摄的女性内衣主题摄影，皆为黑白照片。作为一名女性摄影师，其画面讲求形式，内容讲究情境，尽求唯美，似乎还融入了一些女性特有的梦幻叙事，以及五十年代特有的优雅。而穿内衣的娇美女郎，很难不引发男性读者的丰富想象。竖条开本，多幅大图跨页出血印刷，使得画面被中缝破坏，稍显遗憾。
