最近看了一本好书,是美国女作家巴巴拉·塔奇曼在上世纪六十年代写的,书名是《八月炮火》。全书分为“计划”、“爆发”和“激战”三个部分,很系统的向我们描述了第一次世界大战的成因、欧洲列强们为夺取霸权而而勾心斗角、战争初期几场大的战役——烈日攻防战、坦能堡战役、...

这本书非常牛逼,写的磅礴大气又很有趣,唯一的缺点可能就是翻译的不是太好,句子不是很符合中国人阅读的习惯。 这个作者还写过一本《the distant mirror》,可惜还没有被翻译过来。
