Photography, Anthropology and History examines the complex historical relationship between photography and anthropology, and in particular the strong emergence of the contemporary relevance of historical images. 看了chapter10,11. visual repatriation. 不仅仅要看照片是怎么被repatriate，还要再看照片生成的语境。不仅仅是人类学家单向的记录，其实是local community和人类学家的合作。repatriation对institution而言是把尘封的图像档案重新利用起来，对于Local community而言是一种文化创伤的治愈和缓慢修复，对于照片本身而言是social rebirth。作者Chris刚好是PRM负责photo collection的老师，对学生很好，还给我们了一个19c20c左右的相册上手研究，纪念一下！
