尊嚴就是個摺磨他人跟自己的理由。文學可以無限接近人性的最深處。以為每天研究哲理的老教授會對人性看得透徹，實際上在現實中也難為左右，有些時候即使懂得一些道理不代錶就真的能夠做到。作者之所以在最後一章前一直隻講自己的故事大概是想讓我們知道每一個尊嚴的受害者都像我們一樣有血有肉吧。

什麼都可能發生的老學校，學生、教授的自尊在幻滅中重生。那曾經的熱忱，在事實揭露後的深沉、黯淡、迷茫，最終重新點亮。很復雜的一本小說，讀之確實讓人心潮蕩漾。
