It's 3 a.m. and Elizabeth Gilbert is sobbing on the bathroom floor. She's in her thirties, she has a husband, a house, they're trying for a baby - and she doesn't want any of it. And slowly happiness begins to creep up on her.

我相信，这世上太多事情，太多人与人之间的际遇，是讲求缘分的。我不得不说的是，中国出版业的编辑，毁掉了不少非常不错的原版书。无论是编辑对原著书的精神的理解，以及拿着低稿费草草了事的翻译们，都是对原著有着某种程度上的曲解。但是，话又说回来，他们也的确是不容易...

这是一个问题。按照鲁迅先生的说法，女人身上的女儿性和母性是天性，妻性是逼出来的。原书名倒是颇为直白，吃，祈祷，爱，象什么？难道不象嚼着薯片躺在沙发上和男友看电视的小女孩吗？女人要是不做一个真正意义上的妻子，那就只有回归自然的天性，要么做女孩，要么做母亲。...
