Both an insightful, witty critique of a generation and a profound dissection of the depths of human emotion, After the Dance will be given a major revival at London's National Theatre in the summer of 2010 as part of the ongoing celebrations of the centenary of Rattigan's birth.

I've never felt so strongly about any character like I does with Joan, and the John Reid stream of thoughts always shines in rattigan's play, which I absolutely adore and loathe at the same time.

昨晚一口氣看完，太流暢精細瞭。人最糟糕的品質就是不敢去愛，並裝齣滿不在乎的樣子，直到最後塵歸塵，土歸土，一切都迴不去瞭

讀的時候就一直在腦補BC的錶演, 有劇照的部分就會多讀幾遍。果然最喜歡的劇照也是整部舞颱劇最讓我印象深刻的地方。這部戲說不上有多麼地起伏跌蕩或者是感人肺腑什麼的，劇情狗血但虐著= = .... 我被當中的某處虐到瞭.... BC扮演的David是個自私和善於逃避的人，和太太過著飲酒派對衣食不愁的日子，一直緬懷著過去，他還順便寫寫書彈彈琴，隻是過多的飲酒簡直要瞭他的命。他愛上瞭秘書年輕的未婚妻，2人甚至打算結婚，他以為他的妻子Joan不愛他，但Joan卻在得知後在傢中派對進行到尾聲時悄悄跳樓自殺。David是個悶到自虐的人，同樣Joan也是如此，竭力隱藏無視自己真實的感受是2個人最擅長的，於是纔會有這樣的悲劇結尾，David對Helen的愛是他另外的一個逃避途徑，最終他還是迴到瞭原點
