Patrick Aldermann could be a very lucky man?or perhaps an unlucky one. People around him seem to conveniently die to his great advantage. He has, for example, inherited Great Aunt Florence?s beautiful Rosemont House and its splendid rose gardens. But perhaps it is not luck, Aldermann?s boss, Dick Elgood, vaguely suggests to Peter Pascoe who, as a cop, must investigate the matter, despite Elgood?s subsequent retraction of that accusation.
