Bring The Classics To Life series -Reading Level 5. This novel has been adapted into 10 short chapters that will excite the reluctant reader as well as the enthusiastic one. There are student activity pages following each of the 10 chapters. Key words are defined and used in context. Multiple-choice questions require the student to recall specific details, sequence the events, draw inferences from story context, develop another name for the chapter, and choose the main idea. An Answer Key is in the back of the book. In our society, knowledge of these Classics is a cultural necessity. This adapted and abridged classic will improve fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. 评分毕竟是早几十年的作品，故事情节比大仲马、显克维奇等人差不少。不过营造的中世纪氛围比较好，涉及面也比较广，提到农奴、绿林、宗教迷信什么的。 比项星耀译本好点的是诺曼人姓名之间的“德”翻出来了，这样很明显能看出其民族属性。（唯一的例外是德·布拉西翻译成了狄布来西...

评分司各特的书充满了浪漫主义气息，尤其对人物场景的描述有令人惊叹的功力。虽然站在通篇全文的历史角度，每个人都有其局限性，不过对于我等非文学工作者的普通百姓来说，看书就图个心灵愉悦，关于这点要求，司各特的《英雄艾文荷》完全做到了，与之相比，不得不说《紫艾草骑士》...
