On July 31, Antoine de Saint-Exupery, author of The Little Prince, disappeared during his last reconnaissance mission over Southern France. The Last Flight of the Little Prince is a vivid and somewhat fantastic account of what happened that day by Wilhelm von Stadde, a former German pilot who was with Antoine on that particular day.
